Wander Connect, Arweave India Hacker House

Last week Wander Connect was announced, Arweave India shared Hacker House winners, and more.

GM!

Welcome to this week's Arweave Weekly Digest. Wander Connect, a new embedded wallet for the ecosystem dropped last week, Arweave India showcased the winners of the latest Hacker House, and lots more.

Let's get into it.

Wander Connect goes live 🚀

Community Labs, the team behind the Wander browser wallet, have been working on a new project called Wander Connect - an embedded wallet for the Arweave and AO ecosystem.

Embedded wallets are built directly into applications by developers, no third-party wallet extension required. Users can log in with familiar Web2 methods such as email or Sign In with Google.

The prospect of embedded wallets is an interesting one for the ecosystem, as a better UX provides more opportunity to allow new users to utilize Arweave (maybe without even realizing what it is).

Wander Connect specifically uses Shamir Secret Sharing (SSS) for private key management, recovery options, and has functionality to persist wallet logins across applications.

You can check out their developer docs here.

This is still a pretty new release so make sure to do your own research.

Arweave India's new hacker house projects 🇮🇳

Arweave India's latest hacker house took place alongside Arweave Day India two weeks ago, and the winners just got a showcase.

Flux

In first place came Flux, an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server built for Arweave and AO.

MCP is relatively new on the AI scene, and is a framework for LLMs to integrate with different systems and applications to perform more complex interactions.

In the case of Flux, it aims to be a way for AI agents to interact with AO on a user's behalf. They currently plan to build out integrations for different projects in the Arweave and AO ecosystem.

PermaSign

PermaSign came second, with a product that lets users add signatures to documents, and store them on Arweave.

Blockchains come with certain properties which benefit documents which need to be tamper-proof, verifiable, and transparent.

PermaSign has implemented this on Arweave, with simple social logins via Othent, and lots of features for businesses which would likely be using the software.

This is a pretty cool project, and is especially interesting as a lot of projects that come out in crypto are focused on consumers. Having B2B software use Arweave as a base layer is something to think about!

Flowweave

Flowweave came third, and is a drag-and-drop, no-code platform for building workflows on AO.

These can range from simple automation flows, such as logging received Telegram messages on Arweave, to flows as complex as a user wants to make them.

All of the automation flows created by users are deployed on AO (and are subsequently stored on Arweave).

Flowweave includes triggers, actions, and logic, and make it easy for the average person to create workflows with the benefits of decentralized compute and storage.

These are just a few of the notable projects that got a place on the podium at the Hacker House - but there were a lot of other cool builds, too. Check out the full showcase here.
