USDA's on-ramp V1 goes live

Astro Labs launches v1 of its on-ramp, and our experience at Arweave Day Asia 2025.

GM!

Last week, Arweave Day Asia 2025 took place.

While we wait for all of the keynotes to appear on the Permaweb, we're taking a look at Astro Labs’ latest milestone: the launch of on-ramp v1, making it possible for users to get $USDA with fiat.

Let's get into it.

Astro Labs are a team focused on building out DeFi infrastructure in the AO ecosystem.

This includes their AO-native stablecoin, $USDA, and their Quantum bridge - a cross-chain bridge which allows users to swap stablecoins from Ethereum and Base to $USDA on AO.

On October 2nd, Astro announced version one of their on-ramp for purchasing $USDA directly with fiat, using a payment card or bank account. This is powered by BoomFi, a crypto payments platform built for businesses and fintech.

Why this matters for AO 💻

The traditional process for getting $USDA through Quantum involves multiple swaps, transfers, and bridges.

This might not be a problem for crypto-natives or those already holding stablecoins on other blockchains, but it is a point of friction for both newcomers and experienced DeFi users.

Making stablecoin liquidity easier to access is an important touchpoint for getting users into the ecosystem, and for creators, traders, and builders in the AO ecosystem, this opens the door to:

  • Faster onboarding for new users
  • Easier access to stable liquidity for markets, apps, and protocols
  • Reduced volatility for those transacting in $USDA

As Astro Labs notes, this is “just the beginning” — more updates and integrations are already on the roadmap.

The Longview Insider Update 🔭

We took part in Arweave Day Asia 2025 last week, where many passionate builders, users, and creators in the ecosystem attended to do all things AO and Arweave.

We hosted a mini-build challenge with the aoDevBot, where attendees built any app they could think of, deployed onchain on AO and Arweave. Winners will be announced soon!

We also presented at Arweave Day Asia, with a recording of the talk soon to follow and make its way onto the Permaweb.
