GM fellow Arweaver!
There are only a few hours left to enter our $100 OneMemory bounty. Here’s a quick rundown on what the platform’s about and how you can participate in the bounty by simply uploading an image.
Let's dive right in.
Personal memories deserve permanence 📷
There’s something beautiful about the constraint of doing just one thing. It helps us to filter out the noise and focus on something important.
OneMemory builds on this concept, offering a cozy little gallery for individuals to capture unique moments in time and secure them permanently.
How OneMemory works
OneMemory offers a simple interface to upload an image to Arweave, tie that upload to an X account, and generate a shareable link. All within seconds and with no need for a wallet or sign-up.
OneMemory’s interface lets you switch between an infinite grid mode, a list mode, or a cool card mode which displays user-written information alongside the saved memory. Arweave storage costs are subsidized by OneMemory, meaning you literally pay nothing to preserve a memory permanently.
While Arweave operates as an open data storage protocol, content moderation remains a key component of the permaweb’s user friendliness, and a choice that every app builder is free to exercise. With that in mind, we’ve integrated an automated tool to screen for adult, violent, or child abuse material to keep OneMemory as fun and safe as possible.
Community snapshots
In the short time that the app has been online, we’ve already seen dozens of inspiring memories appear from all corners of the world.
Here are a few pics that caught our attention.
Arweave community member Carlos Romero uploaded this picture of himself attending Jimi Hendrix’s famous Woodstock performance in 1969.
What a legendary moment to preserve on Arweave!
What better way to capture the loving nature of a family member than by preserving their smile permanently?
@theeweb3geek chose this heartwarming image of his grandma, taken during their final interview together.
A simple picture of a classic car to most people, but an image packed full of meaning and history for its owner, @vdiceco.
Their first car, a 1974 Ford Maverick, served as the starting point for their hero’s journey.
$100 upload bounty
The permaweb community truly understands the blockweave’s profound value in securing our most meaningful data. Whether that’s archiving snapshots of cultural events and community meetups, or safeguarding memories of friends long gone, OneMemory makes it possible in just a few clicks.
And now it’s your turn to etch a permanent mark in the gallery. To celebrate OneMemory’s launch, we’ve been running a $100 bounty to help kickstart the app. The rules to enter are super simple:
- Head over to go.onememory.xyz/newsletter
- Click on Preserve your memory
- Add some details about the image and hit share
- Post your memory on X and tag @onlyarweave
$100 awaits the most interesting memory uploaded. But hurry up as the deadline is today at 11:00 PM Pacific Time. Keep an eye on X for the winner announcement which we’ll post on Thursday.

This week's community feature 🎵
Arweave Architect El Tío has been cracking away at StreamVault, an Audius-powered app that archives music on Arweave.
The project is open-source and welcomes community contributions. Whether you’re a developer or musician, this is a great entry point into building on the permaweb.
