Arweave Weekly Digest: Arweave Asia 2024 Edition

Welcome to this week's Arweave Weekly Digest. This was a big week in the Arweave and AO ecosystem - Token2049 took place in Singapore, along with Arweave Asia 2024 - where lots of the team in the Arweave and AO ecosystem got together.

Here are some of the biggest highlights of the event, plus some other announcements and community pieces which happened this week.

Arweave Asia 2024 Breakdown

The Arweave Asia 2024 event took place in Singapore last week.

Sam Williams spoke about the growth of the ecosystem, Tate Berenbaum announced the launch of an ArConnect mobile app, and Tom Wilson announced AOS 2.0. All big milestones for Arweave and AO!

The Permaweb has been growing since the announcement of AO in February, and these launches will be bigger unlocks for the ecosystem.

Arweave getting its first mobile-native wallet will improve UX and also help onboard users, and AOS updates ensure AO developers will have awesome DX.

Another big focus for Arweave Asia 2024 was games.

AO Game Jam 2024 took place, hosted by AO GAMES, with over $30,000 in prizes. You can check out the winners here.

Longview Labs (us!) launched 3 interactive games - all of which were actually built on AO. We had over 88 unique players in real-time, and over 4,000 messages sent on AO.

This also tied in with a social leaderboard we've been working on, where Arweave and AO users can see their stats from across the ecosystem.

Fully onchain games are what's possible when using Arweave and AO.

This Week's Featured Community Piece 📝
