GM!
Last week we announced a remix contest for our content with $200 up for grabs, Wander wallet released some features focused on agentic trading, and a new DEX aggregator was announced for AO.
Let's get into it.
Arweave Today $200 remix contest 🎨
We recently launched Arweave Today 2.0, an open source, curated content feed on everything happening on AO and Arweave.
Now, we're turning it over to the community to remix this content and build something cool with the chance to earn $200.
The challenge is simple: create a remix that brings Arweave Today to the next level. Think scrolling news tickers with clickable headlines, AI-powered podcast presentations, interactive portfolio widgets, or even auto-translation features for global accessibility.
You don't have to be a programmer — give the design an overhaul, put the content in video format — whatever skills you have, you can take part.
We believe open source is a benefit for the ecosystem, and along with this contest have been progressively open sourcing a lot of our work related to our content process. We want to create the foundation others can build upon.
The $200 prize goes to whoever creates the most compelling remix that incorporates Arweave and AO news feeds in a meaningful way. The deadline is this Friday. Check out the full post here for all entry details.
Wander introduces automated agents 🤖
Wander is a popular browser and mobile wallet for Arweave, and they have recently announced the addition of agents to their platform.
Agents, or agentic trading (in the AO ecosystem) refers to the creation of automated trading strategies, where an "agent" performs complex actions on behalf of a user.
Wander has introduced agents with the aim to help reduce the micro-management often associated with taking onchain actions, such as having to manually rebalance your portfolio, making daily swaps, and creating your own kind of DCA (Dollar Cost Average) strategy.
Wander has introduced two different kinds of agents: the AO Yield Agent and the LiquidOps Agent.
The AO Yield Agent detects and automatically sells a user's daily AO mint. The percentage sold can be adjusted, and it can be swapped for either $wUSDC or $wAR, with slippage limits, and which DEX to use (Botega or Permaswap).
The LiquidOps Agent takes a different approach, automatically depositing assets into LiquidOps to earn yield instead. Users can track their deposited assets and withdraw at any time — all from within the Wander interface.
These agents are a nice balance, as they don't require users to hand over complete autonomy and can still have some user control. They can be set up (or cancelled) with the click of a button from within the user's wallet.
They also automate a lot of the more complex or monotonous actions a user might want to take, and improved UX is always great for growing the ecosystem.

Vento launches as AO's new DEX aggregator ⚡
As AO's DeFi ecosystem continues to grow, the need for more advanced tooling becomes important - DEX aggregators being one such example.
Vento is a new DEX aggregator recently launched for AO, which finds the best prices across different decentralized exchanges in the ecosystem (such as Botega and Permaswap) and routes trades efficiently for users.
This is exactly the kind of infrastructure layer that mature DeFi ecosystems need, and is almost expected within serious DeFi ecosystems. What makes this particularly valuable is timing. As we've seen with AOX's growing bridge volumes and increased $wUSDC activity, there's clearly growing demand for efficient trading infrastructure on AO. Vento arrives at exactly the right moment to capture this demand.
Vento is also being built out by Vela Ventures (the team behind Beacon Wallet). The team is well-experienced in building applications on AO and Arweave, and familiar with the challenges that users face when getting started.
So far Vento is out and available, and we'll have to see how usage grows - especially as the DeFi ecosystem develops. The more DEXes built, the more routing it can add, and the more value it can provide to users of the ecosystem. Exciting!
