Last week one of the biggest Arweave events of the year, Arweave Day India, took place, AOX announced a partnership with Astro Labs which has interesting implications, and OLTA showed us how interactive art has great foundations on Arweave.
Let's get into it.
Arweave Day India wraps up 🇮🇳
Arweave Day India took place at Bengaluru Science Gallery towards the end of last week, showcasing AO builds and talks from individuals and teams in the ecosystem. ADI was a multi-day event, and included featured presentations from William Kibbler of Beacon Wallet, 0xTomo of WeaveDB, and Sam Williams, founder of Arweave and CEO of Forward Research.
Arweave India also held a Hacker House leading up to the event with many ambitious builds, such as MCP servers and more. We're excited to learn more about the new projects hitting the AO ecosystem. There's a lot of energy around, and we can't wait to see these projects officially launch.
AOX partners with Astro Labs 🤝
AOX is a cross-chain bridge focused on bringing assets from different chains to AO. They also have their own wrapped AR token ($wAR).
Astro Labs, on the other hand, are the team behind Quantum - an Arweave to AO bridging solution, with its own bridged/wrapped AR token ($qAR). Astro Labs are also the creators of AO-based stablecoin $USDA.
This partnership does something pretty incredible for the ecosystem: it merges $qAR into $wAR, so there is one core asset standard for wrapped Arweave tokens on AO. This is much simpler for end users, and goes to show that both teams have very important core values at the forefront of their goals: creating a better user experience for users of AO.
Likewise, AOX will be providing support and integration for $USDA, the stablecoin created by Astro Labs. Any stablecoins bridged to AO will be converted to USDA.
Although crypto is decentralized by nature, it's awesome to see teams coming together in a more collaborative nature on AO and put the needs and vision of the ecosystem first. Awesome stuff.

OLTA displays interactive art on Arweave 📲
Last Wednesday, OLTA Art hosted an intimate interactive art event in Bristol, UK.
The event showcased multiple interactive art pieces, and attendees could scan a QR code to interact with pieces on their phone, or move around in the room to add to a live art piece. The artwork is stored on Arweave, along with all the interactions made by participants.
Discussions took place around Atomic Assets, built-in licensing, royalties, and more - and why AO and Arweave is a great place for artists.
Some fantastic artists have created interactive art, but even if you're a developer or know a little bit of JavaScript, you can play around with some art generation libraries and upload it to Arweave via OLTA's tooling.
Arweave + Atomic Assets + creative experiences are pretty cool.
