Lots of new releases and features dropped in the ecosystem this week, AO tokens hit a new milestone, and CoinGecko created a piece on AO.
Let's get into it.
💾 ArFleet Web UI goes live
ArFleet is a temporary storage mechanism built on AO, officially launching a few weeks ago.
It's still in testnet and access is limited for users, however this marks a step towards opening up ArFleet for everyone to utilize decentralized temporary storage on AO.
We also wrote a thread about how this could be the start of the "Fully Decentralized Stack" (FDS) - combining the long-term storage of Arweave, the temporary storage of ArFleet, and the computation of AO.
💻 1.8M $AO tokens minted
AO has hit another new milestone - this one being the amount of $AO tokens actually minted.
$AO is currently distributed to users who are holding $AR tokens, or by bridging staked assets to AO (NFA, and not available to persons in the US). It also cannot be traded until around February next year.
$DAI was recently added to the assets which could be bridged to AO, and in the span of a few weeks has hit $65M in deposits.
🦎 CoinGecko covers AO release
Since AO's announcement in February of this year, a lot of excitement has built around AO (and by extension Arweave).
Last week, CoinGecko released a video which explains how AO works and the tokenomics behind it. This is awesome news for AO and Arweave, as it should bring more mainstream recognition to what's been built over the last few years.
