GM!
Last week marked another week of milestones and launches - with AO now officially in mainnet (and AR.IO, too), adoption continues growing across many ecosystem projects. ETHDenver also kicks off this week, featuring an AO/Arweave booth you won't want to miss.
Let's get into it!
AO mainnet season is a-go ๐
It's been just over a week now since AO's official mainnet launch. Nodes now fully support AO-Core, the modular node architecture defining AO, and nodes can now accept payments to execute compute. Outside of technical upgrades, metrics have also been trending upwards in almost all regards.
Sam Williams mentioned on the Front Runners Q&A that over 1 billion pieces of data were stored on Arweave this month alone - which is almost 10% of Arweave's total data stored.
This is likely in part due to AO's mainnet launch, as every AO transaction is stored on Arweave to log state. As more and more apps are built out (and subsequently used) on AO, the more transactions/data stored on Arweave.
The protocol focused on serving and indexing all of this data is AR.IO - which also happened to launch their mainnet last week. AR.IO provide the infrastructure powering data access and indexing on Arweave.
Their mainnet launch comes with the $ARIO token, which is going to be the main token for letting users stake to different gateways and purchase ArNS names. AR.IO also happens to be one of projects highlighted in the Permaweb Index ($PI).
With AO's mainnet, bridges have also hit new milestones. AOX recently reached over $7M TVL, and over 400,000 wrapped AR ($wAR) minted. Deposits on AO itself have also increased by over 130 million USD since mainnet's launch.
What does this mean?
Well, we think it means it's mainnet szn. ๐
