aoDevBot launches for builders and learners

Introducing the aoDevBot, an AI-powered learning and building tool for the Arweave community.

GM!

This week we're covering the launch of aoDevBot - a new AI tool for the ecosystem - built by us here at Longview Labs.

Let's get into it.

The aoDevBot is a new AI tool built for developing apps, and learning about the AO and Arweave ecosystem.

What makes aoDevBot different from the other AI tooling solutions out there, especially for AO and Arweave, is the completely custom, curated knowledge base we've put together to provide up-to-date and relevant context for the AI.

The knowledge base is also open source, so if you think it's missing information on a project or topic, feel free to open a pull request.

We built the aoDevBot with two specific modes: build mode, and learn mode. Each with a slightly different setup based on what users want to achieve.

Build mode 🛠️

Build mode is, well, for building.

Users can prompt from scratch to start building their project, or use a dedicated launchpoint for mini apps, games, or tokens.

Apps built with the aoDevBot are deployed directly on AO, with the front end hosted and stored on Arweave - making the DevBot a fully onchain app creator.

The interface provides links directly to the AO process on ao.link, as well as the shareable interface with a standard web URL.

Learn mode 📚

Learn mode is where users can ask questions about how AO and Arweave work, as well as for code snippets for AO processes (and more). It's a general learning interface which doesn't actually produce any builds.

Learn mode content is built on our custom knowledge base, as well as other reputable sources of information in the ecosystem.

Something which makes learn mode really, really fun to use is that answers provided often include embedded videos, diagrams, and more, instead of simply a text response. We've found this makes the experience a lot more engaging and interesting, and plan to extend it further with media.

The aoDevBot can currently be used in two different ways:

We'd love it if you could give it a try and let us know what you think.
